Medical Imaging on the Reactor

This demonstrator will allow a surgeon to plan operations by using an immersive virtual reality system to enhance the understanding of what will be required. The aspects of GRID/e-science that this will demonstrate are: o visualization of complex MR brain image data on a state-of-the-art presentation system, o remote collaboration between the surgeons, clinicians, anatomists and imaging experts for diagnosis and pre-surgical planning, o and remote access of a brain atlas database over the GRID.
