OMII-Security Portlets

The OMII-UK, OMII-SP (alternatively known SPAM-GP) project aims to produce a set of JSR-168 compliant portlets to simplify the configuration of complex security infrastructures. These portlets allow administrators to tailor a user’s portal view based on privileges expressed as RBAC attributes. The final suite will allow Shibboleth-based login to the GridSphere portal framework, allowing SAML attributes to be filtered by location and type, and the user’s view of the portal configured by this information, then X.509 attribute certificates to be issued for access to external services. This suite will be tested in live projects such as SEE-GEO and nanoCMOS.
