Development of generic software for analysis, archiving and internet dissemination of brain and systems physiological data

Brain and Systems

Over the past 5 years, the applicants have developed software for transmission of Electroencephalographic (EEG) data across the internet or other telecommunication, using modular robust software and novel compression. This proposal is for support for the writer of the software for 5 years to expand its use to provide a generic platform for widespread use for systems physiological data processing. It will be expanded to provide a flexible robust platform for third party plug-ins, a web browser interface, efficient storage and transmission across the internet, automatic feature extraction and data probing to enable parameters of physiological value to be extracted from ensemble physiological activity from the brain or other organs.
