Abstract: Gathering requirements can be approached in many ways, from videoing current work-practises, to interviewing potential users. The Integrative Biology Project will be developing a simulation framework, which will offer users the potential for more collaborative working, access to HPC resources and a more interactive way of working on these complex problems. With this in mind, the project is undergoing initial requirements capture through user scenario definitions in order to inform the design of a prototype, from which requirements will be refined through closer interaction with users working with the system
