Abstract: The GridCast project has created a prototype broadcast media grid infrastructure. The project has focused on developing services to support BBC broadcasting scenarios. The services support distributed media content management, automated content distribution, remote content processing and programme schedule-based management. The GridCast testbed is a significant GT3 deployment across three organisational domains with some 20+ service types and 30+ service instances.
