Abstract: The main challenge of the DAME project is the design and implementation of a fault diagnosis and prognosis system over the Grid computing infrastructure. The distributed Grid enabled DAME pattern match service is based on the AURA technology . The Signal Data Explorer (SDE) is a visual tool act as the front end of the AURA technology. This paper examines how the Grid may effect the implementation of search engines by focussing on the SDE developed within the DAME project.
