Abstract: Following recent analyses of the Globus Toolkit from a UK perspective, the UK Grid Engineering Task Force (ETF) felt it was necessary that a user requirements exercise be undertaken. This paper presents the background to this exercise, outlines the current proposed plans for this exercise and discusses the need for such an exercise.
