Abstract: Although the underlying Grid fabric offers a potential base upon which compute intensive imaging applications could be layered, the absence of usable higher-level grid services still remains an obstacle to the adoption of Grid technologies by the medical imaging community. We propose an infrastructure that allows the registration, discovery and composition of image processing services along with the ability to execute these services across a distributed, heterogeneous set of resources.
