Abstract: There is an emerging need to dynamically discover how services, resources and data on the Grid can be utilised not only to process tasks, but to achieve the desired outcome in the most suitable manner. This paper investigates the emerging need for workflow advisory to aid decision support on the Grid and proposes a system design to perform such a task that incorporates CBR reasoning as the underlying technology. Current work within the e-Science Grid project, DAME, is presented as a case study.
