Abstract: Workflow specification and enactment is a critical operation in e-science. We describe how an abstract, end-user specified, workflow passes through the ICENI enactment pipeline. Staging through workflow specification, the use of workflow enabled schedulers using performance results captured from previous executions, and the orchestration of the concrete execution plan onto resources. We show that ICENI is capable of deploying the workflow components in an efficient manner over the available resources.
