Abstract: Grid portals that can provide a uniform access to underlying grid services and resources are emerging. Currently, there are a variety of technologies and toolkit that can be employed for grid portal development. In order to provide a guideline for grid portal developers to choose suitable toolkit, in this paper, we briefly classify grid portals into non portlet-based and portlet-based, and attempt to survey major tools and technologies that can be employed to facilitate the creation of grid portals.
