Abstract: The RealityGrid computational steering framework allows a scientist to control a computation from his or her desktop. As one of a number of clients developed as part of RealityGrid to allow access to this steering functionality, we have developed a web-based portal which can be used via a standard browser. The portal uses JSR-168 compliant Gridsphere portlet technology to provide control and parameter steering and basic visualisation of simulation parameters. Some of the design decisions made, and technical problems encountered, along with the direction of future work will be discussed.
