JISC Winter Fayre – a celebration of all that JISC Services and your local Regional Support Centre has to offer the further and higher education communities.

Whether you’re a lecturer looking for new ways to engage your students; a librarian searching out the latest online resources; or a manager seeking up-to-date information on the use of e-Learning technology in colleges and universities, the Fayre will have something for you.

This free one-day event features;

  • the launch of the Electronic Training Needs Analysis IV (ETNA IV) Report
  • workshops on the latest Web 2.0 services
  • demonstrations of how open source solutions can transform teaching & learning
  • helpdesks to answer your individual queries
  • practical sessions on e-Assessment, mobile learning, and more
  • technology that you can take away and use immediately*

* All attendees will receive a copy of the award-winning EduApps portable suite of applications on a 2GB USB drive, which can be used to collect examples of the latest software and information from the JISC Services throughout the day.

Keynote speakers will cover three important issues:

  • how to make the most of emerging technologies
  • learner expectations
  • how JISC services can help you achieve your aims

If you’re available in the evening of the 14th, then why not come along to the JISC Services cheese & wine reception? We’d be delighted to share a glass of wine with you before the big day.

Target Audience

The Winter Fayre is open to staff from further and higher education. If you can’t make it for the whole day, then we would be more than happy for you to drop in when you can. You’ll still be able to join in any of the events and meet with the Services staff.
