The Scottish Next Generation Bioinformatics User Group (NextGenBUG - see http://genepool.bio.ed.ac.u/nextgenbug/ ) invites all interested to an afternoon of presentations on the general topic of de novo genome assembly using next generation sequence data. The lecture series is linked to a hands-on workshop running concurrently at NESI. The speakers will include invited experts from the EBI and Liverpool CGR on recent advances in assembly and analysis using next generation data - a detailed programme will be posted here and on the NextGenBUG web site closer to the day. If you would like to give a 15 minute presentation at this event, please register your interest at the NextGeneBUG website. Target AudienceThe lecture series will be of interest to all working with next generation sequence data. There will be ample opportunity for networking and off-line discussion with colleagues, and staff from the GenePool Next-Generation sequencing facility will be at hand for coinsultation.
