The workshop is intended to be a mix of training and project- facilitation. It will include elements of pertinent training for NAIS members, plus consider key themes that will help us to explore the vision of NAIS and plan future research areas for the consortium. The themes are:

  • Extreme-scale computing.
  • Novel approaches to scientific computing.

Target Audience

We expect that the majority of registrations will come from the NAIS network, which spans the UK computational mathematics community.

This event is provisionally scheduled to start at 09:30 Wednesday 23 June 2010 and close at 17:00 on Thursday 24 June 2010.

A dinner is being held on the 23 June at 19:30 at Kalpna (www.kalpnarestaurant.com). NAIS will cover the cost of a set meal (£15 for a selection of vegetarian thali). People will be responsible for paying for their own drinks and sweets.
