NEESGrid, CHEF and the GRID

This presentation will introduce the NEESGrid project which is creating software toolkit to establish a national Earthquake engineering collaboratory linking NSF-funded earthquake enginering sites. The focus is on a shared data repository, access to sensor data, and interpersonal collaboration using a framework for collaboration called CHEF. CHEF is a portal-based collaborative framework which extendsJetspeed to deploy a collaborative environment. There will be a discussion of how CHEF is integrated into the Grid.
