This is a technical workshop to asseses the status of portal technology for research. It will bring together the e-Science and digital information communities. It will highlight portal development and deployment activities in the UK and will also have a number of overseas experts. A similar workshop Portals and Portlets 2003 was highly successful in kick-starting a number of collaborations, proceedings are available at:
