The conference dinner (included in the registration fee of GBP 95) will now be held at 7pm on the 27 March 2007, in the George Hotel.

The Venue

The conference hall is an integral part of the George Hotel, which is located in Edinburgh’s historic centre - just a short walk from Edinburgh Waverly railway station and a short taxi/bus journey from Edinburgh International Airport.

The conference administration team will be happy to book a room at the George Hotel on your behalf – just let them know when you register for the event.

Transportation

Edinburgh International airport is approximately 25 minutes from the City Centre by taxi or bus. A full list of routes to/from the airport is available at www.edinburghairport.com.

Three taxi ranks are in operation at Edinburgh Airport. The fleet of airport private vehicle taxis operate from the eastern end of the terminal building with the city 'black cab' taxi rank available adjacent to the coach park. The third rank is located on the ground floor of the short stay multi storey car park and is available for taxis that have been pre booked.

Public bus services stop outside the UK Arrivals doors on the terminal forecourt. An Airlink 100 express bus service operates every 10 minutes from early morning until after midnight, running from the airport to Waverley Bridge in the City Centre (just a short walk from The George Hotel). Journey time is approximately 25 minutes. The ticket cost is £3 single, £5 return - tickets can be brought from the information desk at International arrivals, from a desk at the bus stop or on the bus itself. More information on this service can be found at www.flybybus.com.

Edinburgh Shuttle provides a fleet of 7 seater executive mini-buses and runs every 15-30 minutes between the airport and picks up and drops off anywhere within the Edinburgh Shuttle’s City Centre zone. This can be from any address - home, hotel, business or conference venue. Bookings can be made in advance by telephoning +44 (0)845 500 5000. Fares are fixed at £8.00 one way for an individual, door to door, with reduced rates for passengers travelling together to the same destination. More information can be found at www.edinburghshuttle.com

Train times to/from Edinburgh Waverley railway station can be found at www.virgintrainsfares.co.uk – tickets can also be booked in advance on this website. Directions for the short walk from Edinburgh Waverley railway station to The George Hotel can be obtained from http://maps.google.co.uk/maps.
