The aim of these one-day workshops is to help the DCC learn more about the e-Science perspective on data curation, as well as to give e-Science practitioners an opportunity to influence both the ongoing and future work of the DCC. The particular emphasis of this meeting will be on data sharing. The workshop will focus on real examples of data curation challenges and solutions from within the e-Science community, and consist of presentations, demonstrations and discussion. The programme is aimed at those currently involved in aspects of data management (including data collection), data accessibility and long-term data curation. It is expected to be of interest to scientists involved in e-Science research projects as well as those engaged in the process of digital data management. Target AudienceThis meeting is intended for researchers at the University of Edinburgh wishing to explore opportunities to engage with the Digital Curation Centre and the broader debate about managing research data.
