The Institute's large 'common room' with casual seating and poster space. The space is surrounded by offices occupied by resident and long-term visiting researchers, and the 'Pod' - a drop in office for short term visitors and associates of the Institute.

The atrium is well covered by the signal from the Wireless Access Point, enabling visitors to use their own laptops.

There are poster boards in this area. Permission must be sought to utilise the poster boards during an event.
