Take a Virtual Tour of the Swanston Room

The Swanston room is located on the 2nd floor, adjacent to the Cramond. The room contains 20 PCs which can be used as a training lab with either Windows XP or Fedora Core 6, or as an internet café. Note that both Operating Systems are normally configured with Open Source applications only. Meeting organisers wishing to use licensed software will need to purchase the licences (which can be done at academic rates through the University) and should notify the support team sufficiently early to enable them arrange this on the organisers' behalf.

Maximum room capacity is 22 seats (this includes trainers in the case of a training lab)

The Swanston has a small projection screen and wall-mounted flipchart and whiteboard. A portable data projector is available, which can be used with one of the lab PCs or a laptop.
