Professor Wilson Sibbett will open the National e-Science Centre, e-Science Hub at the University of Glasgow on Wednesday 17th September.
Speakers at the opening will include Professor Tony Hey Director of the UK e-Science Programme, Professor Malcolm Atkinson Director of the National e-Science Centre, Dr Richard Sinnott Technical Director of the e-Science Hub, Dr Frederica Darema Senior Policy Officer for NSF in the USA, and Professor David Gilbert Director of the Bioinformatics Research Centre at the University of Glasgow. The launch will also make use of the state of the art Access Grid multi-media facility at the Centre when Dr Robert Baxter and Mr Neil Chue Hong make presentations on the NeSC projects OGSA-DAI and eDIKT.
