UK e-Science at SC2006
11-17 November 2006, Tampa Convention Centre, Florida, USA
Stand Number 2234

The UK e-science programme will show its success across a range of application areas at SC06, the premier international conference for High-Performance and Grid Computing. As in previous years, our exhibition stand will provide space for 10 continuous demonstrations and a mini-auditorium space for presentations and panel discussions. Last year about 1200 visitors registered their names at our stand, which illustrates the potential for dissemination of UK e-Science projects at this event.

The demonstrations on the stand will be grouped into four themes:

  • Exploring the Universe (Particle Physics and Astronomy)
  • Exploring Our World (Climate Science, Social Science and BioInformatics)
  • Collaborative Software Infrastructures (OMII-UK and E-Minerals)
  • Collaborative Organisations (Security Services, Virtual Organisations and Interactive Visualisation)

The conference will run from November 11-17 at the Tampa Convention Centre in Florida. The exhibition that is the subject of this call will run from the evening of Monday 13th until the afternoon of Thursday 16th. Auditorium events & videos will be scheduled throughout.
