UK e-Science Programme moves on with new ambassadorThe UK e-Science Programme is entering a new phase with the appointment of its first envoy and the award of continued funding to eight e-Science centres. Professor Malcolm Atkinson, director of the National e-Science Centre (NeSC) and the e-Science Institute (eSI) in Edinburgh1, takes up the new post of UK e-Science Envoy on 1 April.

eSI wins funding for a further 5 yearsThe e-Science Institute has been awarded 2.7 Million pounds by EPSRC to continue its work for a further 5 years to July 2011.
