The NeSC Wiki service (http://wiki.nesc.ac.uk/) has been upgraded to provide better security. Maintainers of wikis should get in touch with NeSC Support (support@nesc.ac.uk) to arrange for their content to be migrated to the new service.

£2.4 million funding to aid the fight against disease.The Scottish Bioinformatics Research Network (SBRN) consortium includes the National e-Science Centres founding bodies the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow as well as the University of Dundee and the Scottish Bioinformatics Forum. The funding will be provided over four years from the 2004-05 academic year and is to be used to help the network provide the necessary infrastructure to improve bioinformatics research in Scotland.
