IEEE CCGrid 2009 - Call for Workshops (Deadline: September 10, 2008)Workshops play an important part in the IEEE CCGrid conference series. We would like to encourage submission of workshop proposals that address emerging themes in Grid and Cluster Computing for the 2009 conference. The conference is scheduled to take place in Shanghai (China) in May 2009. The Call for Workshops is available using the link above. All workshop proceedings are also published by IEEE.

Grid Computing Now! Launches Environmental CompetitionTo enter the competition applicants should propose applying innovative grid computing solutions to an environmental problem. The competition is supported by the British Computer Society, The 451 Group, Intellect, Memset, Microsoft, National e-Science Centre, Oxford e-Research Centre, the Technology Strategy Board and WWF.
