The circular invites bids to establish a Digital Curation Centre to develop key services and generic tools needed by researchers, institutions and archiving bodies to facilitate their management of digital resources over the long-term. Funds of up to 750,000 per annum for three years initially are available for the establishment of the Centre.

A town meeting will take place on Wednesday 18 June 2003 at Woburn House, Universities UK, 20 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9HQ (from 10.00 am and concluding with lunch) where further details of the circular will be available together with the opportunity to ask any questions about the bidding process.

The deadline for receipt of expressions of interest in establishing the Centre is 9.00 am on Monday 7 July 2003 and the deadline for receipt of the submission of full proposals is 9.00 am on Monday 8 September.
