In the context of the UK e-Science initiative, a pilot project is a project in an application domain, such as aircraft maintenance or functional genomics, that is pioneering uses of grid middleware and e-Science methods of collecting, curating, integrating, federating analysing and visualising data, and/or is using computational models in the pursuit of scientific, engineering or medical goals. It is anticipated that pilot projects will extend to other domains, such as the arts and humanities, in the near future. Below is a list of Current Pilot Projects.
